Fixing typos in Eco220 slides

• I will send you e-mails from students with possible typos

• Most of these are typos but some may not be. Please double check them at http://www.chass.utoronto.ca/~eco220ta/maynard/lecturenotes.htm

• Download the power point versions of the files containing typos and fix using the equation editor when equations are involved

• Use acrobat writer to also create a new corrected version of the pdf file.

• Use SSH ftp software (see http://www.chass.utoronto.ca/~eco220ta/.TA/.unix.htmlto obtain a free copy) to upload both the power point and pdf versions of the files to the directory public_html/maynard/lecturenote/ in the account eco220ta@chass.utoronto.ca. You will need to obtain the password from me.

• Double check the page http://www.chass.utoronto.ca/~eco220ta/maynard/lecturenotes.htm to make sure that the NEW version of the files show up when you click on them (after refreshing). If not, check that the names (including capitalization) are still the same. If you get an error trying to open the file log into eco220ta account, "cd" into this director, and use the "chmod o+r filename" command to make the files readable. Let me know if you have any trouble.

• Add a list of typos fixed in the file typos.txt in the same lecturenote directory (there is a link to this file on the lecture note page). Make sure to note the date that the typos were fixed, the location of the typo (which file and slide) and brief description. Basically you can use the descriptions from the students but get rid of name, address, etc. Please make sure it reads and prints neatly.
